GODFREY OKOYE UNIVERSITY ENUGU MATRICULATES 1000 NEW STUDENTS!

A total of one thousand new students on Saturday, 16th March, took their matriculation oath as Godfrey Okoye University Enugu marked its 15th matriculation Ceremony.

The number comprised students admitted into the five faculties of the university as well as those of the university’s College of Medicine.

In an address at the event tagged, “My letter to MAT 24”, the Vice-Chancellor of the university,  Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke advised the new students to see challenges as temporary setbacks for good discoveries.

The Vice-Chancellor explained that the policies of the university were not aimed at interfering with the freedom of the students but to train them to be better citizens who would be useful to society.

“You should make reading your way of life and pray always.  Avoid bad company, laziness, and other negative actions that can affect the achievement of your dreams “.

“You should make your voice heard on campus by being peace champions or winning prizes in competitions organized within and outside the University.  Be a global player rather than local champions”, Prof Anieke said.
