(…taking gouni to the world)
The world of the 21st Century is one essentially driven by communications. With the significant advancement in information and communications technology and with the significant place it holds in human affairs and its impact on practically every facet of life in recent days, it has become increasingly clear that no real progress can be made in the present world at all fronts, whether as individual or as an organization or corporate body, without robust communications structure.
It is in the light and on the strength of the forgoing that the Directorate of Communications, Godfrey Okoye University, was established in March, 2022 with specific mandates which include:
- The overseeing of the university radios, television, student press offices as well as the Gouni Update.
- Ensuring that the public relations office is functioning well.
- Supervising all university advertisements.
- Advising the Vice Chancellor and the senate on matters of communication.
Redefining the business of communication and media engagements of GO University is the basic vision of our directorate and we are applying ourselves diligently to pursuing that vision. As the world of information and communications continues to evolve, our prospect is to keep track with the fast changing world of Communications and deploy relevant skills, knowledge and expertise to ensure that the feats and exploits of the university get to the world in the fastest and most efficient way possible.
Bringing the general public steadily up to speed with the programmes and activities of Godfrey Okoye University at every turn is our primary goal.
