Welcome to Godfrey Okoye University Faculty of Education

According to Okafor (2012) the concept of University varies widely from country to country and sometimes varies even within the same country. The variations emanate from the philosophies of different universities and approaches of staff and students of universities to academic attainment. Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu is a faith-based University owned by the Catholic Diocese of Enugu. Morality is therefore a key issue in the life of the university citizenry, and this is pursued vigorously by the Faculty of Education. We have zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractice, financial extortion of any kind and immoral demands by staff on students. There is no among staff and as such there is nothing like strikes which bedevil many institutions and organizations in Nigeria. Our four, three or even two years durations for academic work have been on the dot since 2013 when we started sending our graduates into the society and by God’s grace, will continue to be so. I therefore encourage and invite parents and guardians, who do not want their children and wards to spend unnecessary extra and uncertain years for university education to make the Faculty of Education or any other Faculty of this dynamic University their first choices.
