On the 1st of July, 2016 the Rector of the Lateran University in Rome visited Godfrey Okoye University thinkers corner Enugu. At the openeing speech the Vice Chancellor Rev. Fr. Prof. Dr. Christian Anieke expressed his happiness to the Arch. Bishop for visiting the University and asked for the establishment of a collaboration between Godfrey Okoye University and Lateran University in Rome.
Arch. Bishop Erico Dl Covolo in his address thanked the the Vice Chancelor for the warm welcome given to him, he promised to establish a collaboration with Godfrey Okoye University and the Lateran University in Rome. He also extended the greetings from the Holy Father Pope Francis.
The Bishop Of Enugu Diocese Bishop C.V.C Onaga thanked the visiting Arch. Bishop and the Vice Chancellor for the work done in Godfrey Okoye University.
The ceremony ended with a Blessing From the Arch Bishop Erico Dal Covolo.
